The ideal candidate will have a Masters Degree in a suitable environmental or planning discipline and an excellent understanding of UK environmental and planning legislation and processes. RTPI membership will be an advantage. The position is primarily to support the delivery of our UK capital water programmes, but support to our clients in the energy and waste sectors and international projects will also be required.
Individual will also demonstrate a track record in preparation of high quality oral and written communications and experience of third party consultation will be an advantage. As the environmental and planning advice is in support of our engineering teams, evidence of working within multi-discipline teams is desirable.
In particular the candidate must have knowledge and experience with the following:
Understand the UK planning legislation and process
Experience in supporting planning applications, EIA’s, appraisals and assessments
Evidence of third party consultation
Experience in the consulting environmental and in advising engineering teams
Good oral and written communications
