Primary purpose of role;
Contribute to the MWH business goals by providing technical expertise in wastewater process engineering design. Providing expertise to clients in optioneering and design for a variety of projects.
Support Project Managers and Team Leaders by providing technical expertise to ensure that projects are delivered to cost, schedule, technical and quality standards to meet both client and MWH expectation.
Job Description
Experience within the wastewater industry with a focus on the optioneering, solution development and the design of wastewater treatment plants
Work as part of a wastewater treatment team to improve, upgrade and enlarge supply schemes to help safeguard water supplies including service reservoirs and network projects
Provide technical assistance to staff, including training within specific areas of responsibility and expertise as required
Maintain up to date technical knowledge of survey, design, drafting, project and contract management standards and techniques
Liaise with clients and ensure that programmes and projects are managed effectively to ensure delivery in a manner which meets quality, time and budget specifications
Undertake appropriate research of existing assets and investigation and design modifications / improvements
Assist in the preparation of technical reports, contract documentation and contract management for a variety of wastewater treatment projects
Assist with the preparation of expressions of interest and proposals as required
Carry out investigations, surveys, design, engineering calculations and preparation of working drawings and estimates for wastewater treatment plants
Investigate advise and report on the feasibility of specialised technical projects within the wastewater discipline
Undertake the design of treatment plants, using appropriate software and applying relevant design standards
Assist with the preparation of cost estimates for working hours on project design
Contribute to the preparation of construction estimates
Using appropriate software to provide advice, solutions and successful project outcomes for clients
Complete all work in line with MWH Core Values and in accordance with MWH Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures
